For choice and unusual plants grown and sold in a beautiful garden

Morina longifolia A great plant to wrong foot garden visitors. They love to tell you that you have a large thistle in pride of place in your border. Well they do until it starts to flower! Then stems of whorled, white, long, tubular flowers which turn through pink to crimson are produced. The stems and calyces take on the colour of ironstone. A unique plant in appearance & only softly prickly. Softly crushed the plant has a refreshing scent perhaps reminiscent of a spicy carrot. Well drained and sunny but not too dry.
